How can I remove rust from a bridle?
I got this bridle for a horse that i am getting. I got it with him so i have never even seen it before. I noticed rust on the buckles of it and was wondering what was a safe way to remove the rust from the buckles without harming the leather. Thanks!

looks like steel wool is the way to go... but will it rub away the metal too? and also the bit isnt rusted i would have gotten a new one if it was.
coke wow!!! there are soooo many different ways!!!
Coke a Cola will eat rust - sounds crazy but it is true. Submerge the buckles for a while then scrub them with a hard bristle cleaning brush. I don't believe the coke will hurt the leather (I would not leave it in for hours, but an hour probably won't hurt). I used coke on an old truck bumper, shone like new afterwards!
I have made a ACTUAL BRIDLE!!!but still need help on the buckle the "S" buckles not regular ones!
