is this prayer book worth anything?
i have came across a common prayer book, its from 1853 and is leather bound its in good condition for age, as no missing pages ETC, it has oxford wrote on the leather at the bottom front.
it has somebodys name penciled in in on page one and under it has christ church.
on the 2nd page it has....
the book of common prayer and administration of the sacraments and other rites and ceromonies of the church according to the use of the united church of england..... etc etc it has a picture (small) of a crest at the bottom then underneath it has
Oxford printed at the university press sold by E.Gardner and son at the oxford bible warehouse panternoster row london and by j.and c. mozley, derby.
through out the bible in pencil are little x and numbers and so on the name of the owner i think was John rumney..
any way was just wondering if it was worth anything or just binable?? thanks in advance guys xxx
with prayer books and bibles so many where printed that usually not worth anything , they have to be really rare ,
