room makeover cost?? is it too much?
Ok so I'm 13 and my birthday is on July 28th, and all I want for my birthday is a room makeover. I have NEVER gotten one and my room is really gross and nothing matches and yeah. It used to be my borthers so I never got to repaint the walls or anything. I want to get my room redone, I want to rip out my carpet and sand my floors so its hardwood (how much would this be its like a 12x13ft room), I want to paint my walls lime greenish and get a bed set from Delias (222$). I know with the delias price and the green paints its going to be about 250 dollars, is this too much money for my parents to spend on me for just a birthday and room makeover, including the price for doing my floor?
I love the look of hardwood floors. yeah its under there I asked. My carpet pulls right up its not attached to the floor. But its huge and all my furnature is on it. I was planning on getting a rug like a small one though just like 3x3 feet to look cool
Whether or not that's too expensive all depends on your parents financial situation.
There are ways to do a room makeover without costing so much. Just new paint will help a lot, and you can always rearrange the furniture to give it a new look. (Maybe even pulling stuff from other areas of the house, like a cool lamp or a chair)
Do you know for a fact that there are hardwood floors under your carpet? Might just be cement under there 
If it isn't already hardwood I think it's a bit much to ask for. Plus, hardwood floors aren't very comfortable. Why not just get a huge rug that would cover up the old carpet and make your room look awesome?
