Copyright infringement - photographs from internet?
I am rephrasing a question because last one has to do with my sending in a photograph to make a pattern for a cross stitch project via internet. There is a photograph on the net (I was able to move to "my pictures") and I want to send to this place to make into a pattern. They did tell me they can't reproduce photos from internet because of copyright. I did not tell them what this photo was yet. I can not reproduce this photo unfortunately but still want to send it to them. How would they know I did not take it if I email it to them? This is for my own personal benefit only (hobby) -- not resale or anything. Any ideas?
They know because of the file. It comes with certain information that says where it came from. You might try emailing the owner of the photograph and 1) asking permission to use it and 2) asking for a good quality file.
