Any leather experts out there???
Can anybody give me a little lecture me on leather? How to distinguish one from another? How durable is each kind of leather and exotic skin (such as iguana, crocodile, etc.)? Thanx
You need to use a microscope and this will enable you to see the differing patterns in the leather which identify what the leather is made from. Some leathers should be obvious like crocodile etc. with the naked eye but others are more difficult to tell apart cow, pig etc.
All leather is pretty tough (it is one of the toughest fibres known to man) it is generally the finish that needs looking after as this is what deteriorates with dirt, oils and wear
