Leather Round
I need to stretch a pair of leather boots as they are a bit tight round my calves, how would i do this?
they are knee length brown real leather boots but they wont zip up fully as i have horsed riders calfs!
Several options: I seem to remember a product you could just spray on the leather to help it stretch to just the right size. You had to spray the area that was too tight, then put the shoe/boot on - the product would help to easy the leather gently allowing it to stretch around your foot/calf. Try asking in your local shoe shop. They always seemed to offer this product to entice you to buy their shoes when you complained they were a little tight (I used to work weekends in a shoe shop!!)
Alternatively, if you know someone with the same or smaller size feet, but larger calves, you could always ask them to wear the boots for a bit! I used to ask my mum to stretch my too-narrow shoes for me in this way.
Finally, there's always the cobblers.
