Yikes! Wall cracking??
We have several corners of our wall cracking and we don't understand it. There is no aggrivation to this area, but it is happening in several corners. The house was built in 2004. We patched up one cracked area and it started cracking underneath the patchwork, busting at the seams so to speak.

Can anyone give me a reason for this?
From what I can see from the picture, you have hit the corner a couple of times. The corner is usually a plastic or metal piece that has been mudded on to protect the edges from being damaged when hit. If you have hit the corner(dent on corner in picture) then that would have broken the corner loose. You would need to put some Joint compound under the piece that is sticking out to help glue it back down, then using the joint compound, remud the edge, this should take care of the problem. The house Will settle after about 3-5 years, and this would also cause the problem. Fixing would require doing the same thing as above.
