Did the death of vinyl records kill rock music?
Before cds, ipods and music videos people actually bought whole albums. Listening to a vinyl record is an experience. You sit for 20 mins and then turn the record over for side 2. It takes work and dedication to be a vinyl lover. To me its an artform. Is that lost of younger people. Did digitalizing music kill what rock used to be?? Does anyone even have a clue of what i am talking about?
it truly depends on how you look at things...saying vinyl sounds better than cds is arbitrary as they are both just a medium to record information on. one is read by needle the other by laser...both have an electrical signal sent to the speaker thus creating tone...
the diffrence? if u look at it carfully the "cd" is the one that sounds closer to what it should sound like since it has more infomation per area then vynl....the problem is when u try to compare vinyl sound with just any cd or cd player..vinyl is classic and i agree its an artform an artform that has had a long time to be prefected...CDs "CAN" sound better and more in depth with proper equipment....most od us dont compare vinyl player to a $4,000+ cd reader tho (not stereo CD reader THE THING THAT READS THE CDS) if you have a QUALITY cd READER you wont get the "distortion" that comes with cds
whats my point? vinyl will always sound better under the same "budget" as cds as its an older technology..making it cheaper and more "sound" (its been aroudn awhile)
