Mazda rx8 Automatic or Manual And what can I do to take care of engine (rotary)?
Hey everyone I am going to buy a Mazda rx8 on wednesday and I have both of them on hold for me both cost $9,00 and both have around 70k miles on them, one is auto one is manual.. I need advice, I already had a manual sports car and sold it and cant make up my mind weather I want another manual or not... I live in MN with harsh winters and live in an area with somewhat heavy traffic, I do like the paddle shifters in the auto and the brown/black interior is very nice w/ a sunroof...the manual doesnt have a sunroof, and only have plain cloth seats not leather.. auto is black manual is red..any suggestions??
Also I'm new to rotary engines.. what can i do to make the engine last long and strong..oil...gas...fluids... etc any info would help\
last question is what is the expected life of a rotart engine.. 150k? 200k? what can it go up to before i experience problems

Go with the automatic, if it has the paddle shifters then it also has the sportronic option to switch the car to a manual shift from the console shifter. As far as oil goes, be prepared. It's a sports car and oil changes will come fairly frequently (you have an in dash indicator). When you hit heavy traffic, having the automatic option comes in handy. You will get better mileage in the manual mode. A tank of gas costs me about 37 dollars, I think its around 2.60 a gallon here last time I checked. As it is a sports car, be prepared for the not so excellent gas mileage, brand new it ran about 18 mph city. As far as the interior, mine is Black Leather and I love the sunroof 
I say drive both, there are options you may not have seen if you haven't seen the car in person. For instance, mine has keyless entry and remote start but you would never this just by looking at it.
