why do i have a small round bald spot on my head?
i only noticed it yesterday for the first time...while my bf sis was doing my hair Ive never felt it before and as far as i know doesn't run in the family...what could it be and why?
Might be Alopecia Areata an autoimmune disease. It causes bald spot that can spread to the whole scalp and sometimes even the whole body. Stress has been suspected to be the main cause.
For a start you can compare with the images in www.curespotbaldness.com. Following this, a skin biopsy should be carried out by a trained medical doctor. This is the best way to diagnose and confirm. It will show any abnormal concentration of T-cells (immune cells) at the affected area.
