Muslims: A couple of questions (Jumah, Prayer, Etc.)?
Jumah is on Friday. How do western men go to Jumah when bosses won't let you off? If you do leave they will probably fire you.
With Prayer Rugs, does it matter what design is on it? Do the designs have any special meanings?
Does a Muslim need to buy one of those hats? (Sorry I can't think of the name)
Must Muslims have beards? If so, do they have to be large beards or can they be short?
What would be the easiest way to learn the 5 prayers?
Would you recommend any reading besides the Koran for a beginning Muslim?

1. Easy they choose what they want to commit their selves to!
2. The Mosque should have a huge rug, so there is no need for you to carry your own, any type of mattress is sufficient if they don't have anything on the ground, which i have never seen! It doesn't need anything special on it.
3. Cuffi, no i have never worn one, although i will but that is just you and what you think you would like to represent, many people just want to identify them selves as muslims, some Have much love for our beloved prophet that they would like to be like him in every way.
4. I have a beard, its a sunna - meaning that is how the prophet presented himself, it is just like the muslim lady that is wearing Hijab.
5. Inshallah- if God is willing i will help you the best i can if you would like to consider praying.
6. I can support you with some short articles, also i can show you some lectures that would introduce you to the beauty of islam. Part if Islam is to follow the prophetic way which is the sunna. How to pray correctly and other things, I will inshallah help you just e-mail me and will go from there. Alhamdullillah - thanks to the creator Allah we have had 5 new muslims in these 2 days. And have had many considering Islam. May our creator open our hearts and guide every soul.
