How do you get a stain out of this kind of area rug?
It seems to be a straw-like material. It is not soft at all. It is woven. We spilled an ashtray and now we have black ash stains on a yellowish rug, I don't know what totry and it looks horrible, please help!
1st vacuum well, going slowly over the area.
2nd:
Get:
3 white wash cloths
1 Spray bottle
Oxy Clean
Very hot water.
Mix Oxy Clean and hot water till dissolved.
Pour into spray bottle.
Spray area and let it sit for about 5 mins.
Take hot damp wash cloth, place on area, place foot and twist.
Turn over wash cloth. Repeat.
Get 2nd wash cloth damp with hot water, and repeat steps above turning it over.
Get 3rd cloth (dry) and place over, twist foot and soak up excess moisture.
Works every time!
